Chloe's Story of Damaged Trachea
A very unusual story unfolded recently. Chloe, a 3 year old Jack Russell Terrier, was attacked by another dog. In these cases, we typically see the victim and the owner. But this time, the owner of the “attacker” actually brought Chloe to our clinic! She felt so sorry, that she offered to pay for Chloe’s care. Of course it was the right thing to do, but hardly anybody has the courtesy and honesty to do that!
Chloe had a tracheostomy (a tube placed in the wind pipe or trachea) to allow healing of her damaged trachea. She eventually healed very well.
A few weeks later, a nice card arrived, written by HP, the “attacker’s” owner!!!
“Dear Dr Zeltzman, (…) Everything has been wonderful. Chloe continued to heal beautifully. (…) Thank you for your extra-ordinary care of this little dog. We appreciate your fine work.”
So I have to say, hats off to you HP! I sincerely appreciated your consideration & fairness with Chloe and her owner. And your nice card is just the icing on the cake!
