Charlie, successful story of laryngeal paralysis surgery
Charlie, an 8 year old Brittany from Maryland, was suffocating and had to go to the emergency clinic. He was diagnosed with laryngeal paralysis. Two months after his tie back surgery, his owner LD writes:
“Charlie is doing very well. (His skin incision) has healed nicely (…)
Inside the house his breathing is quiet, close-mouthed, and regular. When he gets excited and/or hot (outside doing his business), he pants. Occasionally he will clear his throat after drinking water or sleeping for a period of time. Otherwise when he is sleeping, he is quiet. No snoring, no heavy breathing, no gasping, etc.
My husband and I are so grateful to you and the staff at BAERC for saving our Brittany boy.”
