Teddy, story of successful laryngeal paralysis surgery
Teddy, a 14 year old Golden, was constantly panting heavily because of laryngeal paralysis. His owner CF drove an hour so I could do surgery (a “tie back”) to help him breathe better.
Two weeks after surgery, she writes:
“Dr. Zeltzman and BAERC staff, I just wanted to let you know that Teddy is doing well. He just had his staples out. The vet listened to his lungs and said everything sounded good, and she was surprised to see him up and getting around so well and not struggling to breathe. (...) He seems to be returning to his old self, wanting to be petted whenever we are in arm’s reach and even when we’re not! I can’t thank you all enough for what you did for him and us.”
