Good news for Nava the (anal sac) cancer survivor
Nava, a 9 year old Lab mix, was diagnosed with a mass in the left anal sac. It was removed, and the biopsy confirmed anal sac adenocarcinoma. At the end of Nava’s recovery, her owner KE writes:
“Hi Dr. Zeltzman, (…) Nava is doing really well clinically. She didn't seem to have any pain after just a few days (none that she expressed anyway, and she IS a whiner) and she is 100% continent which is actually an improvement. We assumed because of her spine that it was neurological in origin but perhaps it was secondary to the mass. I appreciate all you have done for us (…). I am trying to focus on hoping for the best and just making her days good ones. Thanks again for all you do.”
