Ellie's Story of Torn ACL and TPLO
Ellie, a 5 year old Lab mix, had a TPLO to address a tear of her ACL in the knee.
Four months after surgery, her owner NW writes:
“Dr. Zeltzman, I wanted to give you a progress report on Ellie, the yellow lab. Following 6 sessions of physical therapy, she has done well with her recuperation. Not a limp or favoring of the joint whatsoever. She has slipped a few times on the linoleum flooring in the kitchen, so that area is going be carpeted. So far, so good. Realizing she is arthritic, she is a bit tired and sore after long walks, but for the most part is just fine. Thanks so much for all of your support and for the fine work you do. We’ll keep in touch with you.”
Ten months after surgery, her owner NW writes: “Dr. Zeltzman,
I realize I am WAY overdue in giving you a progress report on Ellie; for that, I apologize. She completed her physical therapy one month ago and is doing quite well. Lots of walking, some running, and swimming is just on the horizon. Other than the arthritis, she has done well from the surgery. (…) I thank you again for all you have done to help Ellie. You are tremendous and a well-respected professional. We were blessed to have affiliated with you.”
